About the Role:
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions within RPM. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of RPM financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting informed decision-making by providing valuable financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Own the end-of-year audit process including preparation of year-end financial statements
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure financial records are accurate, complete and fully compliant
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all tax obligations and statutory reporting requirements relevant to the real estate and land development sector
- Provide accurate financial insights to support decision-making
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting
- Manage and review insurance coverage annually
- Support risk identification and mitigation across financial and operational areas
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Estate Agents Act 1980
- Contribute to strategic planning through financial insights and analysis
Skills and Experience:
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Bachelor or Master qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or CA
